KalPa Kuopio s'est assuré la dernière place restante en remportant le championnat de Liiga. Avec la victoire de samedi soir contre le SaiPa Lappeenranta, l'équipe finlandaise a remporté la série 4:2 et participera à l'élite européenne du hockey sur glace plus tard dans l'année.
